Delhi Agra Tour Package

This Delhi-Agra tour package is made for people who have little time and a long wish list. Families with kids. Couples on a weekend break. Office teams who need three days away from the desk. You see the old Mughal capital and the Taj city without sprinting between stops.

Here is the full flow. Day 1 is Delhi. You land, settle into the hotel, and drive through the wide lanes of New Delhi. Day 2 starts in Old Delhi with forts, mosques, and market lanes. By afternoon, you are on the expressway to Agra. Day 3 begins at the Taj Mahal, moves to Agra Fort, and ends with the road back to Delhi.

The 2 nights, 3 days Delhi-Agra itinerary keeps the long drive to a single afternoon. Nothing else is rushed. Sightseeing is spread across three days, so nobody is dragging tired legs through a fort at the end of a twelve-hour day. Think of it as the shortest, easiest version of the 2-night India Golden Loop package.

2 Nights 3 Days Delhi Agra Itinerary

The chauffeur meets you at the airport or station. Short drive to the hotel. Freshen up and head out.

First stop is India Gate, the war memorial at the end of Rajpath. Photos here, no long walk needed. The car then rolls past Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. You see them from the road. No entry.

Next is Humayun's Tomb. Red sandstone, white marble, big gardens. This tomb came before the Taj and you can see the idea forming. Take your time here.

After lunch, drive to Qutub Minar. A tall brick tower from the 1100s, with old carved pillars in the same compound. Then Lotus Temple. A white flower-shaped building, quiet inside, open to all.

Time permitting, add Akshardham Temple or Raj Ghat. Your guide picks based on the light and the traffic.

Dinner on your own choice. Night stay in Delhi.

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and leave Delhi in the morning. The Delhi to Agra private car tour runs on the Yamuna Expressway. Wide road, few stops. The drive takes about three to four hours.

In Agra, check in and have lunch. Then Agra Fort. Red sandstone walls, palaces, and a long view of the Taj across the river. Next is Itmad-ud-Daula, called the baby Taj. Small tomb, fine marble inlay work.

Visit a marble inlay workshop. Watch the craftsmen cut stone by hand. Buy something small if you like. No pressure.

Evening at Mehtab Bagh, the garden across the Yamuna. The Taj sits right in front of you. Good place for sunset photos.

Dinner and early bed. Tomorrow starts before dawn. Night stay in Agra.

Up before dawn. Your guide meets you at the hotel. Walk in through the gate for the taj mahal sunrise guided tour. The marble turns from grey to pink to gold. Crowds are thin and photos are clean. The guide covers the inlay, the layout and the story behind the tomb.

Back to the hotel for breakfast. Check out and start the drive to Delhi on the Yamuna Expressway. The driver drops you at the Delhi airport or your railway station. That closes the 2 nights 3 days delhi agra itinerary.

A few notes. The Taj is closed on Fridays, so we plan your Agra day around that. Fatehpur Sikri is not on this plan. If you want it, tell us at booking and we swap one stop.

Three Ways to Do the Trip

  • The All-Rounder. Half forts, half city walks. You get the big monuments plus time on foot in the markets. Good for mixed groups where some people want history, and others want street food and shopping.
  • The Mughal Heritage Focus. More time at each monument. Longer stays inside Humayun's Tomb, the Red Fort and Agra Fort. Your guide goes deeper on architecture, emperors, and the stories behind the stone. Pick this if you read about history before you travel.
  • The Express Explorer. Built around photo spots. Short stops, quick walks, and the best light for each shot. It suits first-time visitors who want the famous views and a clean social media feed without long guided talks.

All three use the same vehicle, hotels, and route. Only the pace at each stop changes.

How the Day Works

One vehicle. One driver. One fixed plan from the first pickup to the last drop. You do not change cars, you do not wait for a transfer, and you do not argue with a local cab at a parking gate. The driver clears parking, handles every toll, and keeps the car ready outside each monument. Our Delhi to Agra private car tour runs on the same driver for all three days, so he knows your group, your pace, and your stops. If you only need the vehicle side, our Yamuna Expressway car rental Delhi service runs on the same setup. Clean AC commercial vehicles are assigned based on the total number of passengers in your group.

How to Reach Delhi for the Tour

By Air

Flights land at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Your driver waits outside the arrival terminal with a name board. Share your flight number when you book. He tracks it and adjusts if the plane is early or late. Bags go in the car, and you head straight to the hotel.

By Train

Express trains pull into New Delhi, Old Delhi, or Nizamuddin station. Tell us which one and the coach number if you have it. The driver meets you at the station perimeter drop-off point. Station roads are busy, so he messages you the exact spot before you step off.

By Road

Coming from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, or Rajasthan by car or bus? Highways bring you in through the capital border points. Bus travelers arrive at Kashmere Gate, Anand Vihar, or Sarai Kale Khan. Pick any of them and the driver will find you. Private car travelers can park their vehicle at the hotel and switch to ours for the tour.

Best Time to Visit Delhi Agra

October to March

Peak season and the dry winter block. Days are pleasant for walking in forts and gardens. Mornings can be cold, especially in December and January, and fog sometimes slows the expressway. Book early. Hotels fill up fast. For anyone asking about the best time to visit Delhi and Agra, this is the safe answer.

April to June

Hot and dry. Afternoons are hard on the legs. Carry hats, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Plan monument visits for the morning and keep afternoons for the car and hotel. Crowds are lighter, and prices dip.

July to September

Monsoon. Parks turn green, and the air clears up. Ticket queues are short. Rain can interrupt a walk, so pack a light rain jacket. Expect some humid days between showers.

Need to Know Before You Travel

  • Carry your original government photo ID. Monument counters and hotels both ask for it. Photocopies are not always accepted.
  • Wear closed, comfortable walking shoes. Fort steps are steep, and stone gets slippery.
  • Keep small cash notes handy for roadside tea, snacks, and souvenirs. Not every small seller takes cards.
  • The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. Our plan accounts for this, but tell us your dates early.
  • Dress modestly at Jama Masjid. Shoulders and knees covered. Scarves are available at the gate for a small fee.
  • Carry your own water. The car has some, but monument areas are large.
  • Bags are checked at monument gates. Pack light for the day.

Why Choose Our Delhi Agra Tour Package?

  • We read what other operators sell before writing this package. Most had the same complaints in the reviews. Surprise charges at the end. Cars that were not what was promised. Drivers who got lost, or cut a monument to make up time. We built this plan to fix exactly that.
  • Clear costs, from the start. The quote covers fuel, tolls, parking, driver allowance, and hotel nights with breakfast. You see what you pay and what you do not. The exclusions list is short and honest: tickets, lunch, dinner and personal spending.
  • Hotels checked before booking. Every property in the package is verified for cleanliness, safe rooms, and family comfort. Twin-sharing rooms are standard. If you travel with young kids or elderly parents, tell us, and we place you in rooms closer to the ground floor or the lift.
  • Drivers who know the route. Our drivers have done this loop many times. They know where the traffic builds and which gates open earlier than others. The usual Delhi to Agra road trip duration is around three to four hours each way on the expressway. They plan around it, so you are not stuck at a toll or a jam at the wrong moment.
  • One vehicle, one driver. You do not swap cars halfway. Your bags stay in one place. The AC vehicle is assigned based on group size, so a couple does not pay for a big van and a family of seven is not squeezed into a small car.
  • Local guides at the right stops. Guides are pre-arranged at the main monuments, and they speak clear English and Hindi. Ask for another language at booking, and we try to match it.
  • Support on the road. If a flight is late, a child is unwell, or you want to skip a stop, call or message the team. Someone answers. No automated replies.

Step-by-Step Online Booking Protocol

  • Pick your dates and group size. Tell us how many adults and children are travelling.
  • Share your pickup details. Send the exact hotel, flight, or train information for the doorstep pickup.
  • Pay a small advance online. Use the secure payment link. The balance is settled later as agreed.
  • Get your voucher on WhatsApp. The digital confirmation arrives instantly, with driver and hotel details sent before the trip.

“We had a fantastic experience with our tour guide and driver in Jaipur ! Both were incredibly professional, friendly, and made our trip truly unforgettable. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating stories and insights about the places we visited. He made the history come alive and tailored the tour to our interests. Our driver was excellent as well — always on time, very polite, and made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the journey. The vehicle was clean and very comfortable, which made a big difference during the day. Thanks to both of them, we discovered places we would have never found on our own. Everything was perfectly organized and stress-free. We highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a high-quality, personalized tour experience!”

“Planning the trip with Mr. Singh took almost 3 months, which included a trip from New Delhi to Agra from there to Jaipur to Varanasi to Mumbai. Mr. Singh took care of booking 3 domestic flights, choosing the hotels and accompanied us himself almost throughout the trip with an attached car including his lovely son Vishay. Lots of museums, temples, markets, restaurants in short, India at its best. I feel obliged to also mention the guide in Jaipur Babu. - Thank you on behalf of myself and my wife, my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, if you want the main sights only. You get Old Delhi, New Delhi, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort without rushing. If you want a slower pace, or Jaipur too, add a night or two.

The Taj Mahal is closed every Friday, and visitors who arrive then are turned away. Plan your Agra day around that. Our trip dates should always avoid Friday for the Taj visit.

For Indian citizens, it is ₹50 for entry plus ₹200 for the main mausoleum. Foreign visitor prices are listed differently across sites, so check the official ASI portal before you pay.

Yes, you need it only if you want to go inside the main tomb chamber. The outer complex, gardens, and platform are covered by the base ticket. Most visitors keep the extra ticket for the inner chamber.

Children below 15 years old enter free. Carry a birth certificate or school ID in case staff ask for proof of age.

Sunrise. It means fewer people and softer light for photos. The marble looks pink and gold at first light. Midday gets hot and crowded, especially in summer.

Delhi airport to Agra is about 233 km. On the Yamuna Expressway, it usually takes three to four hours one way. Fog in winter and festival traffic can add extra time.

Yes. It sits on the road between Agra and Jaipur, so it works as a short stop on the return to Delhi. Plan it for the Day 3 afternoon only if you are not behind schedule.

Yes. A same-day Taj ticket can lower the entry fee at Agra Fort and a few other Agra monuments. That is why we plan the Taj and Agra Fort on the same day. Ask your guide to confirm the current rule at the gate.

It depends on the operator, and many packages list private options. Ours is private. Only your group travels in your vehicle, with your driver, so you control stops, photo breaks and meal timing.
